This movie was a fun memento that I made to leave with all my lovely grade 2s at Barker's Point School. This video is based on the rap we used to learn our doubles strategy throughout November and December and the students loved it! I invited the other STU interns to join in on the fun and we made sure everything we put in the film was an inside joke our students would remember. We had such a great time sharing this with our school and laughing along with the kids! |
The first in a series of installments of "Read-Along-Rabbit" podcasts intended for use at a listen to reading station or for practice reading at home. I wanted to re-create the read-along books from my childhood in a fun way that could be used in the classroom. By offering my students this personalized podcast I will be able to use grade-specific books in the future and add them to my library. I hope you love listening to this as much as I loved making it! |

I have found that my students love using reoccurring characters in our lessons. From everything from a frog I named Frederick that we used to learn our skip-counting, to the introduction of characters from popular culture, my students have loved learning alongside characters they can relate to. I created this first "Squish" mini-movie to introduce the concept of basic geometric shapes to my younger learners and they loved it! Hopefully there will be more to come soon... |
I have worked with many students in interest groups related to technology over the past few months. This video was entirely scripted by four kindergarten boys in my video club. They wanted to give back to the community by teaching others about kindness. I loved working with these children, and many other students, to create these lovely videos. It always warms my heart to see what they come up with.

Copyright Anchor Chart
![Picture](/uploads/1/3/5/8/13582937/8735434.jpg?1358617742)
I created this poster on Photoshop to prompt older students in remembering copyright procedures while doing their class projects. I find that it is a useful anchor chart for the older grades and I have already hung copies in our local high school.
If you wish to use this poster you may also want to read the "tips for teachers" file that I have created to accompany it. (see below)

This is a copy of our "Explaining Assessment" Movie before final editing. The full version would not fit on the website yet, but I will work to have it on in the near future. This movie explores how we would explain our assessment practices to parents, students and other teachers.
This mind-map was created using the ThinkBuzan Mind-mapping Software and Adobe Photoshop.
